Knitting Around Town

Joining a knitting group in or near your neighborhood, at work, or at school is a great way to meet new people who enjoy knitting as much as you do. Throughout the Chicagoland area there are small groups of knitters who meet weekly, every other week, or monthly to sit and knit.  These groups gather to chat, to knit, to share a glass of wine or a beer, and to have fun.

Knitting Groups

We keep an up-to-date list of recurring knitting events in the Chicago area. The list includes open knitting at area shops, recurring knit-in-public events, and Stitch ‘n Bitch-type groups. If you are on Ravelry, you can check this forum to find other groups meeting in your area. Also, check with your local yarn shop for knitting groups at the shop or in the neighborhood.
