Spend a Weekend with Michele O’Reilly and Judy Chan
The Windy City Knitting Guild is pleased to welcome back two popular teachers – Michele O’Reilly and Judy Chan. Note that the Michele’s Ply-Split Jewelry workshop has been changed and is now suitable for beginners as well as more advanced students. Judy will teach Knitting Entrelac in the Round.
Ply-Split Jewelry with Michele O’Reilly
9:00 AM – 4:30 PM, includes 1.5 hour lunch break
Maximum: 12 students
Experience: Beginners and those who have taken a class or know how to do Ply Split braiding
Beginner Bracelet with Loop/Button closure. We will work with sample cords and review the ply-split braiding process and learn a new pattern, ‘Wave’. You will also learn a new way to start and end the braid with a button and loop, and also learn how to plan a project and work with a project worksheet.
Michele will have inventory of both solids and hand-dyed cords available for purchase or you can twist your own and experience cord twisting! Supplies charge will cover the sample cords.
She will also have tools and books available for purchase for all who need them.
Gripfid tool, Great Scot Booklet, note taking supplies, scissors, buttons or beads for closures, darning needle. (Gripfid and Great Scot Booklet will be available for purchase if you have misplaced them.)
All classes will be held at the The Admiral at the Lake, 929 W. Foster Ave., Chicago, IL 60640. Free parking is available. If you need assistance getting to the Admiral, please contact Tina Stevens (KnitterS@sbcglobal.net). Food and beverages will not be provided at the workshops, and participants are welcome to bring their own lunch/snacks and drinks.

NOTE: Those who registered at the old price will receive a refund of the price difference at the workshop.
