About

The Windy City Knitting Guild (WCKG) is an educational and social club.  The purpose of this organization is to promote interest and skill in knitting, while encouraging high standards of quality workmanship.

We do not discriminate – all knitters, beginners to advanced, designers and teachers are welcome at our meetings. We currently have over 200 members and we are a 501(c)(7) organization.

We welcome you

As a prospective member, we encourage you to attend a few meetings. Check us out – and then if you like, join. Dues are $25 per calendar year if you receive the newsletter via email, or $35 if you elect to receive print copies of the newsletter via U.S. Post.  Membership fees are non-refundable.

Outgoing Board Members

The Guild wishes to thank outgoing 2013 board members Kim Rudman and Katherine Buggenhagen for their service as board members. Kim gave several years of service to the board as Newsletter Editor. Under her tenure, our publication was well-written and informative, receiving praise from members and visitors alike. Katherine, Monthly Program Coordinator, did a great job arranging a variety of interesting and educational meeting programs month after month. Thank you, ladies!
