About the Windy City Knitting Guild & How to Join

The Windy City Knitting Guild is a membership organization which encourages and fosters knitting in the Chicago area.   We currently have over 300 members. 

Dues are $20 per calendar year if you receive the newsletter via email, or $25 if you elect to receive print copies of the newsletter via U.S. Post. 

We meet the third Tuesday of each month from
6:45 pm- 8:55 pm.  Meetings are held at:

Our meeting schedule is: Refreshments, Meeting and Greeting, Guild Business, a program/mini class, and Show & Share.

Benefits of Membership
Your membership entitles you to receive our monthly Windy City Knitting Guild Newsletter, which some members feel is worth twice the price of dues! It is loaded with announcements about knitting events, book reviews, knitting website reviews, yarn store reviews from all over the United States, class and teacher reviews, knitting patterns, tips, hints facts and fun.  A sample issue of the newsletter is available here in PDF format.

Many knit shops in the Chicago area give a 10% discount to Guild members.  By the time you purchase $200-250 worth of yarn, you'll have recouped the price of the membership.  Members also pay a reduced price for the fantastic workshops we sponsor.  How great is that?!

If you would like to become a member, please fill out and print the membership form and mail it with a check or money order to:
